Derina Harvey Band

Derina Harvey leads the award-winning Celtic Rock sensation, the Derina Harvey Band (dHb). Harvey, the band's major driver, is originally from Wabush, Labrador, the youngest in a musical family of four. Made up largely of expats of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Alberta-based outfit has blown the roof off of venues across North America, promoting a tried and true brand of trad music with a modern edge. The band has been likened to a "rockier" version of Canada's Great Big Sea, if fronted by Adele, and has earned a reputation as a high-energy live show that leaves many an audience out-of-breath and hollering from their seats. dHb released their latest album "Waves of Home" in June, 2023. The band enjoys a huge wave of online followers from across the globe a following which exploded when their recording of Tom Lewis's "The Last Shanty" was used in thousands of videos on TikTok, introducing the band to a whole new generation of listeners and causing their streaming numbers to skyrocket to over 70 million total streams. The band's dedication to touring across Canada has not gone unnoticed in their home region of Atlantic Canada they are nominated for a 2024 East Coast Music Award in the "Fans' Choice Entertainer of the Year" category.
