About

ROSIER is a bilingual Canadian band born from a place of living heritage, reclaiming and interpreting the romantic traditions of Québécois folk through a modern lens. The band members are offspring of a pioneering generation of Canadian-American folk musicians who were raised together in the underbelly of music festivals. The close-knit band has been performing together for over a decade, formerly known as Les Poules à Colin. They have played in more than fifteen countries worldwide and released five albums, including the 2021 album Légèrement. The band has created a layered sound that connects generations through origin and craft, reclaiming and interpreting the romantic traditions of Québécois folk while pushing boundaries with contemporary arrangements and production. ROSIER was nominated at the ADISQ Awards in 2015 (Ste-Waves) and 2018 (Morose) in the Album of the Year – Traditional category, and at the 2019 OPUS Awards (Morose). Represented by FamGroup, the band has been noted as the group to watch amongst the next generation of roots musicians in Québec. Their music bridges the gap between traditional Québécois folk and modern indie sensibilities, creating a sound that is both deeply rooted in heritage and boldly contemporary, appealing to audiences across generations and linguistic boundaries.
