Steve Kozak

Steve Kozak is a Vancouver born guitarist, singer, and songwriter who has built a reputation as one of Canada's premier Blues artists. He has been a mainstay on the western Canadian Blues scene since the mid-eighties. This Maple Blues Award winning Blues-man has spent decades absorbing and applying the styles and chops of the masters from Memphis to Texas and New Orleans to Chicago. In 2012, Steve Kozak won a prestigious Maple Blues Award for New Artist or Group of the Year. Steve has been nominated twice for a Western Canadian Music Award for Blues Artist of the Year and is known as the go to guy in Vancouver for the west coast Blues sound. The Steve Kozak Band was nominated for a 2017 and a 2018 Western Canadian Music Award for Blues Artists of the year. He has performed at numerous major festivals and venues across Canada and has worked as a backing musician for international blues artists. Steve Kozak's fourth album It's Time was released in 2017. With his authentic west coast blues sound, exceptional guitar work, and decades of experience honing his craft in the tradition of the blues masters, Steve Kozak continues to be a vital force in keeping the blues alive and thriving in Western Canada.
