About

The Blueshounds arrived on the Okanagan scene almost 7 years ago bringing their brand of Rocking Boogie Blues. These four seasoned musicians, all living in the Okanagan, feature the blues with their distinctive sound. The band members include Ian Lefty Stewart who hails from across the Pond, immigrating when he was 5 and playing music since he was 12. He plays Guitar, Steel pedal, Bass, Keyboards, drums and vocals, and has lived in pretty well every province in Canada, playing with many bands and musicians including Northern Lights Blues Band and Swamp Band out of Toronto and Peterborough. Gerry on harmonica has played his Blues Harmonica over 50 years, with previous bands including Sky, Blues Emporium, Big Daddy and the Blueshounds, and The Blues Juniors. Rob Robertson is the latest addition to the Blueshounds, a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist who spent years in the Nashville scene perfecting his playing before coming back to Canada. Cliffe Fraser on drums has kept the meter with a number of local bands including Nameless In Naramata, The Blackbirds and The Rob 'N Walker Band. The band is based in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley and plays what they describe as Rocking Boogie Blues with a focus on creating danceable, groove-oriented blues music. With their combined decades of experience and diverse musical backgrounds, The Blueshounds bring authentic blues energy to the Okanagan music scene.
