TrailerHawk is a Vancouver country rock band featuring members of legendary Canadian groups including Matthew Good, Sons of Freedom, Grapes of Wrath, Ginger and Sunday Morning. The band consists of Don Binns and Don Short (Sons of Freedom), Rod Bruno (Matthew Good), Lanny Hussey (Grapes of Wrath) and Carmen Bruno. What began as a casual project with little interest in diving back into the music business became a real thing as the members bonded over a shared love for old school country and rock and roll. They started as a cover band for a giggle and some beers, but their chemistry was undeniable. TrailerHawk recorded its independent debut EP, Half Up Front, with Nashville-based Canadian musician and producer Colin Linden (who has worked with Lucinda Williams and Bob Dylan). The band plays haunted melodies and country-soaked Americana rock n' roll, landing in a sweet, completely satisfying spot by taking a rocking approach to old-school country. They have spent the past few months stoking interest by rolling out single after single, which were bundled on their debut album, 12 Tracks and Road Maps. Long-time fans of the Canadian music scene will recognize the impressive pedigree of this supergroup.
