Yanti is a vibrant Okanagan-based vocalist who performs in multiple genres and has become a fixture of the British Columbia jazz and folk scene. Born in England and raised in Texas, Yanti has Singaporean heritage from her mother and received her Bachelor of Arts & Psychology from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas on a music scholarship. She has been living in the Okanagan for nearly 20 years, making Naramata her home. As a featured vocalist, Yanti performs with local jazz bands including Sax Among Friends, The Justin Glibbery Quintet, and the Crawford Crossley Quartet. She performs regularly with a group of legendary Okanagan musicians at venues like Zias Stonehouse Restaurant in Summerland, the Vernon Jazz Club, and the Dream Cafe in Penticton. Beyond her performance career, Yanti is also a voice and ukulele instructor and a regular guest ukulele instructor at elementary schools throughout the South Okanagan. She provides professional music for weddings and special occasions, from simple guitar/vocal duets to six-piece bands. Yanti has also ventured into original songwriting, releasing 'You Fighting You,' a professionally produced pop ballad that showcases her versatility as a vocalist. Known for her warm tone, interpretive skills, and ability to connect with audiences, Yanti brings soul and authenticity to every performance.
