About

Zach Kleisinger is a singer-songwriter based in Vancouver, British Columbia whose deep, slow voice soaked in sorrow reflects on the human condition with stories that chronicle everyday moments. Born and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Kleisinger moved to Vancouver about five years ago to put more focus on his music career. Working in the folk/singer-songwriter genre since 2015, Zach has been described as the melancholic love child of comedian Steven Wright and protest singer Joan Baez, combining wit and social awareness in his songwriting. His second EP, 'I Hope Its Calm, Then,' was released on March 30, 2018, followed by his latest album 'Their Symposium' in 2021. Since the release of his 2018 EP, Kleisinger has actively toured Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe, sharing stages with brilliant musicians such as The Deep Dark Woods, Charlotte Cornfield, and Sam Lynch. His music has been described as melancholic testimony featuring lushly hypnotic folk arrangements. With a voice that conveys depth of feeling and lyrics that pack perspective into every verse, Zach Kleisinger creates songs that are bluesy, bruised, and blossoming. His storytelling approach and intimate performances have earned him a dedicated following among fans of thoughtful contemporary folk music.
