Corwin Fox was born in Halifax and raised in Ottawa, and is a Canadian songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and the studio owner at Hidden Well in Cumberland, BC. He's toured extensively in North America and Australia since 1995, and has released four solo albums to date. A dedicated writer (his first book "Kill Love" was published in 2021), Corwin aims to push the boundaries of what a song can be: mischievous, touching, irreverent, sacred, memorable. Corwin has had a hand in some 200 albums. Maiya Robbie is an interdisciplinary artist and musician who works as a singer/songwriter and is a founding member of Shane Koyczan and the Short Story Long. She also participates in various local projects as a dancer, artist, and musician. She released "Should've Been a Mountain EP" in 2012, which was produced by Corwin Fox and recorded at Pleasantville. Her music has been described as "stunningly beautiful orchestral folk songs with just a hint of country". She performs guitar and vocals, and her music has been characterized as folk/singer-songwriter style with acoustic guitar-driven compositions. Both Corwin Fox and Maiya Robbie are known for their contributions to British Columbia's vibrant folk and roots music scene, with Fox particularly noted for his work as a producer helping shape the sound of many BC artists, and Robbie for her evocative songwriting and warm vocal style. Their collaboration represents the interconnected nature of the BC folk music community.
