Daniel Alexander Tait is a professional touring musician, songwriter, music coach, actor and MC who has been in the professional business for over 15 years. Dan calls West Kelowna, BC home with his partner and fur baby, and is regularly hosting events, performances and taking his show on the road across Canada. Renowned for his multifaceted talents, Dan Tait, a singer-songwriter based in the Okanagan region, has garnered acclaim for his warm demeanor, lyrical prowess, and musical finesse, establishing himself as a gifted storyteller and a world-class entertainer. From 2019-2024 Dan wrote and performed with the Nashville-folk quartet Kentucky Eileen, with the band performing all over Canada with notable slots at Nest Fest, Mission Folk Festival, Peace Valley Folk Festival, and many more. Tait also wrote and performed with the BC folk duo Tiger Moon from 2012-2019, with the duo releasing two EPs and one full-length record entitled "Cariboo & Whiskey." Dan's acting credits include the Lions Gate & Buzzfeed film "Puppy Love" (2023), Roguescots' thriller "The Founder Effect" (2023), as well as independent films "Pirates: Quest For Snake Island" (2008), "Dead of Winter" (2007), and "Prey For The Beast" (2006). Dan has several songwriting credits to his name, including "Stay Tuned," featured in the Lions Gate film "Puppy Love", as well as "Heavenly Song," featured in the 2023 independent film "The Founder Effect." His accolades include: Canadian Folk Music Award Nominee for Songwriter of the Year 2023, Western Canadian Music Award Nominee for Songwriter of the Year 2022, Calgary Music Award Winner for Folk Recording of the Year 2022, Canadian Folk Music Award Nominee for Emerging Artist of the Year 2020, and Calgary Music Award Winner for Male Artist, Folk Recording and Songwriter of the year for 2019. Dan Tait continues to be active in the British Columbia music scene as a folk musician and event MC.
