About

George Leach is a Canadian musician, actor, and Juno Award winner best known for his work as a lead singer and songwriter. Leach is Stl'atl'imx from Lillooet, British Columbia and has become one of Canada's most respected Indigenous artists. He released his first album 'Just Where I'm At' in 2000, a self-produced effort that won several Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards and garnered international recognition, establishing him as a respected singer, songwriter, guitarist and performer. With music spanning several genres stemming from rock and soulful blues roots, slide guitar riffs on his double neck Gibson, and sounds that blend traditional rhythms with a modern twist, a live George Leach performance is not to be missed. He won the Juno Award for Aboriginal Album of the Year in 2014 for his album 'Surrender' and has won three Aboriginal People's Choice Music Awards. As an actor, Leach has appeared on television shows including This is Wonderland, North of 60, PSI Factor, and Nikita, and in the six-part miniseries Into The West as Loved by the Buffalo. He has performed at the National Aboriginal Achievement Awards (now the Indspire Awards) and continues to tour extensively throughout Canada. George Leach's music represents a powerful fusion of Indigenous traditions with contemporary rock and blues, delivered with authentic passion and masterful musicianship.
