Honeybear The Band

Honeybear, the Band is a Vancouver BC based vintage soul, blues & roots quartet that, while relatively new (formed in 2023), consists of four band members who are old friends and have been playing together in other formations for over a decade. The band features Ian Beaty on bass and vocals, Colin Brumelle on guitar, Mike Kenney on keyboards and vocals, and Timothy S. Watson on drums and percussion. Keyboard player Mike Kenney has the distinction of playing more sold out shows at Vancouver's Rogers Arena than any other musician – as the organ player for the Vancouver Canucks! The band specializes in vintage soul, blues and roots music, bringing a authentic and timeless sound to their performances. Drawing from classic soul, blues, and roots influences, Honeybear creates music that honors the traditions of these genres while adding their own contemporary touch. Their debut release and subsequent recordings showcase tight musicianship, soulful vocals, and a deep understanding of the groove that makes vintage soul so enduring. With their combined decades of experience and natural chemistry as longtime collaborators, Honeybear delivers performances that feel both professionally polished and warmly intimate.
