Lloyd Spiegel is an Australian guitarist, songwriter and singer who began performing at age 10 and has produced ten albums, earning recognition as a 14-time Australian Blues Award Winner and being described by Rolling Stone as 'an Oz Blues & Roots icon.' At age 13, he formed his own band, Midnight Special, which he fronted from 1993 to 1998. He has worked as a solo performer since 1996, performing at festivals and theatre venues around the world with extensive tours throughout Canada, the USA, Japan, New Zealand and the Netherlands. Spiegel has supported the likes of Ray Charles, Bob Dylan and Etta James on tour and has sat with the founding fathers of modern blues including Brownie McGhee. Since 2004, Lloyd has been the world-wide demonstrator and premier endorsee for Cole Clark Guitars, an Australian company that designs and builds its guitars with Lloyd's hard-hitting style in mind. Known for blending comedy, storytelling and guitar skills in his performances, Lloyd Spiegel continues to tour internationally as a solo acoustic blues artist. When performing with his band, Lloyd delivers high-energy blues performances that showcase his remarkable guitar technique and engaging stage presence.
