Michael Charles, born February 23, 1956, is an Australian blues musician, songwriter, guitarist, and singer who is an inductee into the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame. In October 2015, Charles was inducted into Chicago Blues Hall of Fame, and at that time he had recorded about 34 albums of blues rock music. Charles is traveling his 18th consecutive international tour 'Guitars, Music and Miles' in 2025, which takes him to the U.S., Canada, and Australia. In 2020, the Moonlight record label released 'The Early Years,' a CD of the complete singles released between 1984 and 1988 by Charles in Australia before he moved to the United States in 1990. With decades of experience touring internationally and a catalog of more than three dozen albums, Michael Charles represents the journeyman blues artist who has dedicated his life to the music. His guitar work is rooted in traditional blues while incorporating rock energy, and his vocals carry the authentic grit of a true bluesman. Charles's extensive touring throughout Canada has made him a familiar presence on the Canadian blues circuit, where he's known for delivering high-energy performances that honor blues traditions while entertaining contemporary audiences.
