Mud Bay is a blues/roots band from the Fraser Valley in Canada featuring five musicians: singer/harmonica player Mud Bay Slim, drummer Murphy Farrell, singer/guitarist Mark Branscombe, bassist Dennis Ingvaldson and singer/multi-instrumentalist Randall T. Carpenter on guitar, steel guitar and mandolin. The five-piece band features four songwriters and three lead vocalists, creating a diverse and dynamic musical experience. Fraser Valley musicians celebrating 40 years of rocking good songs together, Mud Bay has been described as forerunners of the burgeoning 'Indie Blues' movement. The band draws from traditional blues roots while incorporating elements of roots rock, Americana, and country music. With four decades of experience playing together, the members of Mud Bay have developed a tight musical chemistry and deep repertoire of original and traditional material. Their longevity in the Canadian music scene speaks to their dedication to the craft and their ability to connect with audiences through authentic blues and roots music. Based in the Fraser Valley, Mud Bay represents the vibrant regional music scenes that exist throughout British Columbia.
