Nightshades

Nightshades is a collaborative indie rock band from Kelowna, British Columbia featuring four esteemed Canadian songwriters: Andrew Judah, Common Fires, DL Ranney, and N.Sherman. The band has existed for less than two years but has already released two EPs ('It's Not Weird', 'Yellow & Green') and one full-length record ('Reducer') before their March 2025 EP release of 'Very Good Friend.' Their album 'Inside Joke,' produced by Andrew Judah, is out July 9th, 2025. Despite their short time together, Nightshades has quickly established themselves in the BC indie rock scene through prolific recording and performance. The collaboration brings together four talented songwriters, allowing for diverse perspectives and musical approaches within the band's output. Each member contributes their individual strengths while working together to create a cohesive sound that is greater than the sum of its parts. Based in Kelowna, Nightshades represents the vibrant indie rock scene in BC's interior, proving that great music happens outside major urban centers. Their rapid output of quality recordings demonstrates both the creative chemistry between members and their shared commitment to the project.
