About

The Crawford Crossley Group (also known as the Crawford Crossley Quartet) is a jazz ensemble from British Columbia featuring Larry Crawford, Allan Crossley, Stefan Bienz and vocalist Yanti. Larry Crawford plays saxophones, flutes and clarinet, with a career spanning decades including playing on the original Sesame Street, touring with Liberace, Sammy Davis Jr. and Harry Belafonte, and five years touring with the NORAD bands. In addition to multiple instruments, this Okanagan icon is a prolific composer and arranger. Allan Crossley is a piano player, arranger and leader who spent his career as a music educator leading an award-winning high school jazz program. In addition to playing keys, he is the lyricist for Larry's compositions. Stefan Bienz is a bass player in high demand who plays with numerous local groups and musical productions. Yanti brings the Crawford/Crossley compositions to life with her vocals. Recently joining the group is Stan Sabourin on saxophone, a seasoned performer. The group has been together since 2015, performing to sold out shows at Jazz at Zias, Penticton's Dream Cafe, the Vernon Jazz Club, and the Ryga Arts Centre.
