Qualité Motel

Qualité Motel is an electronic music group from Quebec, originally from Sherbrooke. It's a party machine operated by the guys from Valaire, serving as an electronic side project of the group Misteur Valaire to allow the quintet to play in smaller venues. The project shifts between DJ sets, remixes, Top 40 mash-ups, and original compositions. On record, they shine a light on Quebec's beloved star system by inviting artists to sing on their electro-pop productions. Their first album, titled 'Motel Califorña,' was released on April 2, 2012, featuring collaborations with artists like Mitsou, Elisapie Isaac, Karim Ouellet, and Socalled. On November 2, 2018, the group released their second album 'C'est pas la qualité qui compte.' They've also released EPs including 'C'est la quantité qui compte' (2020) and 'Les plus grands duos francophones de l'année' (2022). The project has been active for over fifteen years. The band members also remain active as Valaire and pursue other musical projects.
