Ya Cetidon

Ya Cetidon is a Congolese artist based in Quebec, known for his versatility in blending rap, singing, and dance across genres like Hip-hop, Afrobeat, R&B, and Dancehall. Now based in Laval, the rapper experienced a bit of fame with his first band, F2S – Frères 2 Sang, as a teenager in Congo-Brazzaville. Greatly inspired by late '90s French rap (Lunatic, Mafia K'1 Fry, Passi), he spent a few years on the road with his family – in Ghana, Benin, Togo – before moving to the U.S. His dynamic performances have seen him share the stage with artists like Fally Ipupa, Niska, and Loud. In 2023, he made a strong impression at the Francofolies de Montréal festival, performed with Loud on the main stage, and collaborated with him to release the mini-EP 'Double Feature.' In 2024, he returned to Les Francofolies de Montréal for the launch show of the collective 3 Heures prod, following the release of the album 'Nouvelle Ère.' With several singles already under his belt, Ya Cetidon can count on a solid fanbase, amassing over three million streams across platforms, more than one million views on YouTube, and several followers on his socials. He is set to release his highly anticipated debut album in early 2025, which promises to be a significant milestone in his artistic journey.
