Lydia Képinski is a Canadian indie pop singer and songwriter from Quebec. Born on June 1, 1993 in Montreal, Képinski has French and Polish ancestry. She taught herself guitar in high school and has studied classical piano. She makes music that dips from grunge to rock to synth-pop. Képinski was the winner of the Francouvertes competition in 2017. A first EP was released in 2016, marking the beginning of her collaboration with her producer Blaise Borboën-Léonard and her label Chivi Chivi. Her first album "Premier juin" was released in the spring of 2018, opening doors for her across Quebec. It earned six nominations at the 2018 ADISQ Gala, including Revelation of the Year and Album of the Year – Critics' Choice, and won the Pop Album of the Year award at GAMIQ. Her music led the musician and her band to perform over a hundred shows, mainly in Quebec but also in France, Belgium, and the United States. In March 2023, Képinski released a song in collaboration with Les Louanges.
