Joshua's Habit was formed in Calgary at the turn of the millennium by frontman Travis Pankiw, guitarists Eddy Whiskey, Dan Orydzuk (aka Zik), Cal Ewing and The Gooch on drums, emerging from Alberta's modern rock scene. They released their debut album in 2002, 'IMAGES OF ENERGY,' featuring the single 'Should've'. Their album 'CAUTION - CONTENTS HIGHLY ADDICTIVE' was produced by Todd Kerns (Age of Electric, Slash and the Conspirators) and mixed and recorded by Kelly Mihaulics of Ruffmix studios in 2004. 'WASH THE FILTH' debuted in the top 5 on many radio stations' new album charts in 2007, with the lead single 'Pointing Fingers' named the regional winner of the Canadian National Songwriting Competition. They toured coast to coast and opened for the likes of Pearl Jam, The Trews, Big Wreck and Jeff Healey. In 2009, Joshua's Habit won a Star Search Competition put on by Calgary radio station The Vibe 98.5, earning them the right to open for Collective Soul and $100,000 to help fund their next album 'TORN.' Joshua's Habit toured extensively in 2010, but at the end of the tour, the band decided to take a break and put the band on hiatus. In late 2019, Trav and Andrew Aubut got together to discuss a project, bringing in Dean Person (guitar) and Brad Morrison (Bass) to form the new Joshua's Habit line-up.
