Jason Blaine McEwen was born on April 19, 1980, in Pembroke, Ontario. He drew inspiration from his father and older brother, who loved country music and played in a band as a hobby. He first became known in 2002 after winning the CMT talent search Project Discovery. McEwen adopted the stage name Jason Blaine to avoid confusion with another Project Discovery winner, Jason McCoy. In 2003, Blaine released his debut single, "That's What I Do," and in 2005, he issued an album, "While We Were Waiting," on the independent Jay Bird label. Originally from Pembroke, Ontario, Blaine moved to Nashville in the fall of 2006 with his wife Amy and their three-month-old baby girl. He burst onto the scene in a big way in 2007 with his first #1 hit single "Rock In My Boot" which led to multiple CCMA nominations. Arriving in 2013, "Everything I Love" was the album that established Blaine as a major country star in Canada. Released in 2015, "Country Side" was another major success in Canada, spawning three hit singles, and "Country Side" became the Most-Played Canadian Country Song of the Year in 2015. He is a multiple CCMA, SOCAN & CMAO award winner with over 20+ radio hits, six full length albums, over 25 million digital streams. Blaine has also become a respected craftsmen of hits for other artists including Chris Jansen, Parmalee, Brantley Gilbert, Scotty McCreery, and Madeline Merlo. In 2013, Jason founded and hosted his inaugural "Jason Blaine Celebrity Charity Golf Classic," and over the past 9 years, the event has helped raise over $850,000 for various hometown charities in Pembroke. Jason resides in Hendersonville, Tennessee with his wife Amy and their four children balancing music and family life.
