Kalàscima ft Andrea Ramolo

Andrea Ramolo is a long-time Canadian touring and recording artist, a multiple Canadian Folk Music Award nominee, an award-winning filmmaker and music video director, and an actor and educator. Born in Toronto to Italian immigrants, Andrea began her artistic life as a dancer and actress. Andrea Ramolo has been recording and touring her music since 2008. In 2003 she picked up the guitar, later producing two albums 'Thank You For The Ride' and 'The Shadows and the Cracks.' Andrea has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Gordon Lightfoot, the Skydiggers, Ron Sexsmith, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Madison Violet, Adam Cohen and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, and more. Andrea Ramolo with Kalàscima is an exciting new international collaboration of world music in the Italian language featuring southern Italian electronic/folk band Kalàscima and multiple Canadian Folk Music Award nominee and alternative songwriter Andrea Ramolo. The film is accompanied by a new international collaborative studio album with Italian band Kalàscima by the same name which was supported by the Canada Council for the Arts with the intention of bringing Italian folk music and dance to Canadian audiences in a fresh and accessible way.
