A native of St. John’s, Newfoundland, Tom began his broadcasting career at 21, becoming the youngest national radio host in CBC history withDeep Roots. He later moved to Toronto to hostRadio 2 Morning, before stepping into is current role onQ. His work has extended beyond radio to include the national TV showWhat’re You At?, where he connected with Canadians during the early days of the pandemic.

In addition to his broadcasting career, Tom is a co-founder ofThe Dardanelles, a critically acclaimed band that has played a vitalrole in the revival of traditional Newfoundland music. The band’s energetic performances and dedication to bringing obscure folk tunes to modern audiences have made them a cornerstone in Newfoundland’s musical history.
