About

Billianne Lowry is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter from Milton, Ontario, born on August 24, 2002. The Toronto Star has called her "Music's Next Big Voice," recognizing her as one of Canada's most promising emerging artists. Billianne began singing as a child and started writing music during her teenage years. The Milton District High School graduate's experience in extra-curricular groups at MDHS inspired her to pursue a music career more seriously, though it wasn't until her late teens that she first picked up a guitar. Around age 17, she started learning the instrument properly by covering songs, developing the skills that would soon make her a viral sensation.

Her poignant, unplugged cover of Tina Turner's hit "Simply the Best" went viral in October 2021, rocketing into millions of views and gaining her an adoring fanbase and recognition from some of her idols including Taylor Swift, The Lumineers, Joe Jonas, Ryan Reynolds, P!nk, and Michael Bublé. This viral breakthrough transformed her from a local talent into a nationally recognized artist almost overnight. She is skilled in playing guitar and ukulele, bringing an intimate, acoustic quality to her performances.

Her first EP, "The Things We Talk About," was released in 2023. Billianne has since released her debut album "Modes of Transportation," which has been in the works for three years. The album's advance single "Crush" is a lovestruck pop tune that broke Billianne on Canadian radio. She first went on her own Canadian tour in 2023, and her immediate future includes a headlining tour with dates in major markets including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Vancouver, Montreal, and Toronto.
