About

Coleman Richard Hell, born April 25, 1989, is a Canadian musician from Thunder Bay, Ontario, whose raspy voice and genre-mingling dance-pop productions have made him one of Canada's most distinctive electronic artists. He started out as part of the duo Burnz N Hell at the beginning of the 2010s before launching his solo career. He released his first EP, "VENA," in 2014, which showcased his unique blend of electronic production, indie sensibilities, and soulful vocals.

Hell's breakthrough came in February 2015 when he released his debut single "2 Heads," which became a massive international hit. The track has accumulated over 130 million streams on Spotify and is certified 4x Platinum in Canada and Gold in the United States, establishing him as a major force in Canadian pop music. On October 23, 2015, he released a self-titled six-track EP that included "2 Heads" and further demonstrated his ability to craft infectious, emotionally resonant dance-pop.

His debut full-length album "Summerland" was released on October 14, 2016, by Columbia Records, cementing his status as a major label artist. He has toured with Robert DeLong in 2015 and Twenty One Pilots in 2016, performing for increasingly large audiences. Beyond his solo work, Hell founded the Toronto-based artist collective Sideways, which includes La+ch, Shan Vincent De Paul, and Michah, demonstrating his commitment to building community in the Toronto music scene. On October 15, 2021, Hell announced his upcoming second studio album "Topanga," continuing his evolution as an artist who defies easy categorization.
