Crash Adams is a Canadian pop music duo from Toronto, Ontario, consisting of childhood friends Rafaele "Crash" Massarelli and Vince "Adams" Sasso. They are most noted as Juno Award nominees for Breakthrough Group of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2024. Crash began producing at a young age while Adams played guitar, and they produce, write, sing, mix, and master all of their music, maintaining complete creative control over their output.
The duo began making music together in the 2020s but struggled to get attention until hitting on a creative social media strategy that involved transporting Massarelli's grandmother's red couch to unexpected locations to create short TikTok videos. This inventive approach to content creation helped them stand out in the crowded social media landscape. The two quickly rose to prominence when a clip of their street performance for their song "Caroline" went viral on TikTok, garnering over 49 million views and catapulting them to international recognition.
With a quickly expanding fanbase, they released a number of singles over the next few years until signing to Warner Music Canada, which released the four-song EP "California Girl" in early 2023. Their success has extended beyond Canada, with particularly strong followings in the Philippines and other international markets. In 2025, the duo auditioned on America's Got Talent, performing their original song "Optimist" and receiving four yeses from the judges, putting them through to the next round and further expanding their reach beyond the digital realm into mainstream entertainment.
