Darcy Michael and Jeremy Baer, performing together as Darcy & Jer, have been together for over 20 years and are proud dads to their daughter Grace and their golden retriever Yuma. Openly gay, Darcy Michael lives with his husband of 20 years Jeremy Baer and their daughter. Prior to their duo work, Darcy Michael had been a standup comic for some time, described as a 'veteran' on the comedy circuit in his native Canada by 2012. In 2014, he was a finalist in Sirius XM Canada's Top Comic competition. In 2018, he was the first comedian to release a 60-minute stand up special on CraveTV, 'Darcy Michael Goes to Church.' A few months before the pandemic in spring 2020, they got a puppy, Yuma, with Darcy creating a TikTok account for the pet to send videos to Jeremy while he was at work. Unexpectedly, one of Yuma's videos went viral, catapulting the account from a handful of followers to more than 100,000. Known for their hilarious videos around their relationship, mental health, plants and more, they have over 7 million followers across platforms and over a billion views on their videos. In 2024 TikTok chose Darcy & Jer as their Visionary Voice. With Darcy having ADHD and the pair being members of the LGBTQ+ community, they aim to create an inclusive, safe environment celebrating life with neurodivergence. In 2023 they debuted their live comedy show at the Just for Laughs Vancouver Festival to a sold out crowd of 1200 fans, then launched a tour called 'No Refunds' that quickly grew to over 50 cities across North America, including making their debut on Broadway in New York City. They released their 'No Refunds' stand up special and 'Happily Ever Laughter' documentary in November 2024 on Crave.
