Dom Dias is a JUNO Award-winning Producer, DJ, and Engineer known for his genre-blurring sound and electric energy on the dancefloor. Hailing from Toronto, he's carved out a lane in the city's hip hop and club scene through bold, eclectic production that seamlessly blends Dancehall, Disco, Rap, and Alternative Dance. Just John x Dom Dias are a Canadian hip hop duo from Toronto, Ontario, consisting of rapper John Samuels and producer Dominique Dias. They formed in early 2018 after the duo met on Instagram; both Samuels and Dias were already active in Toronto's music scene, with Samuels releasing the solo hip hop EP 'Black Beret' in 2017 and Dias active as a club DJ. They are most noted for their song 'Soundboi', which was a shortlisted nominee for the SOCAN Songwriting Prize in 2019. Dom Dias gained notoriety when their track 'Soundboi' was chosen by the Toronto Raptors as the anthem for their 2019 playoff campaign that ended in a victory for the team and city at large. His work has earned features in major outlets like Lyrical Lemonade, The FADER, Complex, and Noisey, and he's been tapped to perform at top-tier festivals including Metro Metro (Montreal), Phillips Backyard (Vancouver), and Obey Convention (Halifax).
