Canadian rock singer, began singing school musicals age 5. 1984 'Metal Queen' solidified trailblazer for women in 80s rock, feminine empowerment anthem. Double platinum 'Bodyrock' (1989) with hits 'Whatcha Do to My Body', 'Sex with Love'. Three Toronto Music Awards Best Female Vocalist. Sixteen Juno nominations. 2023 Canada's Walk of Fame inductee.
