About

Jamie Fine was born on July 7, 1993, in Ontario, Canada. She was born and raised in the Centrepointe area of Ottawa and was introduced to jazz and classical music by her parents but did not begin singing until the age of 6, and only began performing in high school. Fine graduated from the culinary arts program at Algonquin and has put her culinary career on hold to pursue music. After graduating from culinary school, Jamie started her own catering business, but a creative awakening in 2017 inspired her to abandon the culinary industry and pursue music full-time.

The duo of Elijah Woods and Jamie Fine was formed sometime in early 2014 when the two met at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario. In September 2017, the duo competed on the first season of The Launch, with their performance of "Ain't Easy" (written by Ryan Tedder and Camila Cabello) released through Big Machine Records. Music Canada certified the single Platinum in May 2018. The success of the song contributed to the duo winning the iHeartRadio MMVA for Best New Canadian Artist or Group in August 2018. In November 2020, Jamie Fine and Elijah Woods had parted ways, both opting to pursue individual solo careers.

On May 5, 2022, Jamie Fine signed to Universal Music Canada as a solo artist, releasing her debut single with the label "Confessions" the same day. Her hit single "If Anything's Left" reached Platinum status in Canada and Double-Platinum in South Africa, demonstrating her international appeal. With nearly 1.5 million followers worldwide, fans are drawn to her energetic personality, quirky humor, and openness, making her one of Canada's most engaging contemporary pop artists.
