Jeremy Hotz, born May 31, 1963, is a Canadian-American actor and stand-up comedian originally from Ottawa. Jeremy began his career performing at local comedy clubs across the country. Hotz performed at the local Yuk Yuk's comedy club on amateur night and the club owner loved him, launching his professional comedy career. In 1997, he performed at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal and received a standing ovation after his debut performance at the festival's prestigious television gala, establishing him as a major comedic talent.

Hotz won a Gemini Award for his role on the television series "The Newsroom" in 1997, demonstrating his versatility as both a stand-up comedian and actor. In 2008, Jeremy was honored with the Dave Broadfoot Comic Genius Award at the Canadian Comedy Awards, which is the most prestigious comedy award in the country. Following that year, he was awarded Best Male Stand-Up 2009. After headlining the Melbourne, Sydney, and Auckland Comedy Festivals, Hotz was awarded the Jury Prize – Best International Performer at the Sydney Comedy Festival, bringing international recognition to his talent.

He has appeared on Comedy Central Presents, the Just For Laughs comedy festival, the Late Show with David Letterman, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, reaching American audiences with his observational humor. He has also worked as a staff writer for Paramount's The Jon Stewart Show and has appeared in various American and Canadian motion pictures including "My Favorite Martian," "Speed 2: Cruise Control," and "Married Life." In 2018, Jeremy released a one-hour comedy special called "Dangerously Handsome," showcasing his mature comedic voice.
