Mitch Zorn

Mitch Zorn hails from Nakusp, BC, a small town, and started playing guitar at age eight, joined his dad's country blues band at nine, and was writing songs by 12. He grew up playing in bands with his father from an early age. After high school, knowing a straight nine to five job would interfere with music, he got his electrician's ticket and took a gig in the Canadian oilfields – two weeks on/two weeks off. Later, he landed a job in Texas – 4 weeks on/2 weeks off – splitting his time between the oil fields and Nashville, where he made the rounds of studios and booked writing sessions. He recently returned to Canada after spending 4 years splitting time between Texas & Tennessee and has settled in Kelowna. With over 10 years experience playing stages across Canada and the U.S., Mitch has quite the resume. Growing up, Mitch grew his roots in folk music idealizing song writing greats such as Jason Isbell, Jim Croce, and Jackson Browne. His sound takes cues from childhood heroes like John Mayer, Rob Thomas, Jason Isbell, and Jackson Browne, to 90s-era country, Hip Hop and Grunge. Mitch appeared on CBC news for his single 'Humboldt,' a cut he penned in 2018 to commemorate the 16 lives lost in the tragic accident. His debut single 'Home' was released in June of 2024, and he has released a self-titled debut EP and debut album 'Back To You' through 604 Records.
