Teaze is a Canadian hard rock band formed in Windsor, Ontario in 1974. The band was formed in 1975 by Chuck Price, Mike Kozak, Mark Bradac and Brian Danter. TEAZE came from Windsor. They breathed Detroit's airwaves and rocked to its beat, influenced by Bob Seger System, MC5, The Stooges, Grand Funk and Brownsville Station. They started out initially as a cover band, playing the likes of MC5, Alice Cooper and Grand Funk Railroad, but by 1976, they were writing their own original brand of feelgood party rock and roll and shopping around demos for a major deal. The band released four studio albums and a live album recorded in Japan. While waiting for a major deal, they released a self-titled independent album, which caught the ears of Aquarius Records and soon they were back in the studio to work on their major debut, 'On The Loose,' which was released in 1977. Although best known as a live band in the vein of such rock and roll luminaries as Aerosmith or Alice Cooper, the band scored an awkward hit with the country song 'Sweet Misery.' Teaze scored brief success nationwide, opening for such rock and roll heavyweights as Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, Meat Loaf and Blue Oyster Cult. Teaze never fully cracked the U.S. market but, true to true Spinal Tap form, were monstrously successful in Japan (even more so than here in Canada). 'Body Shots,' the last record recorded by Teaze was produced by Nick Blagona, and did not produce any hits. Brian Danter left the group to pursue a religious calling, eventually becoming a pastor, and Aquarius Records and the band failed to find a suitable replacement, leading the label to lose interest and break the contract. The band reformed in 2019. The song 'Heartless World' from the album 'One Night Stands' was featured in the 1997 Canadian horror anthology film 'Twists of Terror' and in 2014, it also appeared in the Icelandic movie 'Málmhaus' (aka Metalhead).
