Their album "Tell 'Em You Were Gold" was released in 2022 on Smithsonian Folkways Recordings and was the duo's first album where Jason plays only banjos, with Pharis on guitar and guests on fiddle, mandolin, bass, and pedal steel. The duo's music is characterized by their deep knowledge of traditional folk music, exceptional instrumental skills, and the unique quality of Jason's handcrafted banjos. Their commitment to preserving and advancing traditional music while maintaining authenticity has made them one of Canada's most respected folk duos. Their music honors the past while remaining vibrant and relevant to contemporary audiences.
