Daniel Champagne is an Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist known for his dynamic and virtuosic fingerstyle playing. He began playing guitar at the age of five and has since developed a unique style that combines percussive techniques, intricate melodies, and powerful vocals. Originally from the New South Wales south coast, Daniel first picked up a guitar at age five, following in the footsteps of his dad. He began writing songs at 12, training classically throughout his teens and performing solo wherever he could, honing his craft and developing what would become the dynamite live show that he is renowned for today. At 18, he left school, turned professional, and hit the road. His mix of percussive body hits and classical training makes for a wild and intriguing performance. The intensity of his playing is notable, with many guitars having been fractured and pulled apart due to Champagne's intense playing style. The young Australian-born & Nashville-based artist spent his late teens and early twenties touring the world with the likes of Ani DiFranco, John Butler, INXS, Lucinda Williams & Rodrigo y Gabriela. He has performed at some of the foremost world-renowned Folk and Blues festivals including Woodford, Byron Bay Bluesfest, Nationals (Australia), Vancouver Folk, and Salmon Arm Roots & Blues (Canada), to name a few. Daniel Champagne's extraordinary technical ability, combined with his engaging stage presence and soulful songwriting, has made him a sought-after performer on the international folk and acoustic music circuit.
