Andrea Ramolo is a multiple Canadian Folk Music Award nominee who has been recording and touring her music since 2008, releasing six studio albums and numerous singles. Born in Toronto to Italian immigrants, she grew up in a middle-class Italian-Canadian suburb north of Toronto. She began her journey into the arts as a dancer and actor before venturing into music in 2008 with the release of her album "Thank You For The Ride." Her debut was supported with close to 200 shows across Canada. Her 2011 follow-up "The Shadows and the Cracks" led to her first Canadian Folk Music Awards nomination. Her alternative folk album "NUDA" earned her a mention on the 2017 Polaris Prize longer list. Her album "Homage," which honours songs by Leonard Cohen and was produced by Michael Timmins of Cowboy Junkies, earned her a 2019 Canadian Folk Music Award Nomination for Contemporary Singer of the Year. Her seventh studio album "Quarantine Dream" was made almost entirely with female and non-binary creatives. Along with her solo career, Ramolo was one-half of Scarlett Jane with Cindy Doire, whose two albums released under Warner Music Canada were recognized with multiple Canadian Folk Music awards. Andrea Ramolo has had the pleasure of singing alongside Gordon Lightfoot, Andy Maize, Ron Sexsmith, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Adam Cohen and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, and more. Her music is characterized by intimate storytelling and a commitment to authentic expression.
