Twin Bandit

Twin Bandit is a Canadian folk duo consisting of Hannah Walker and Jamie Elliott. Hannah Walker and Jamie Elliott come from different sides of the Lower Mainland, with Walker from the suburb of Tsawwassen and Elliott from Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. They met while working at St. James Music Academy, where Walker started singing an old traditional song and Jamie joined her in harmony. In six months, Twin Bandit went from the Saint James Music Academy kitchen to house shows to a deal with Vancouver-based indie Nettwerk Records. Twin Bandit is a contemporary Americana, traditional folk duo. Twin Bandit's gorgeous harmonies, traditional folk sensibilities, and authentic approach to songwriting have earned them recognition in the Vancouver folk scene. Their ability to honor traditional folk music while bringing fresh perspectives and contemporary energy has made them a noteworthy act in Canadian folk music.
