Del Barber

Dave Barber is a Penticton native and Juno award nominee who works primarily as a guitarist. He has spent the last 15 years being a sideman and has toured with artists including Colin James, The Chieftains, Barney Bentall, Dallas Smith, Chad Brownlee, Aaron Prichett, Aaron Goodvin and many more. His Juno award nomination was for his work with the bluegrass band High Bar Gang featuring Barney Bentall and Shari Ulrich. He is the proud owner of a Canadian Country Music Award (BCCMA) and a Canadian Gospel Music Award (CGMA), and has also been nominated for Canadian Country Music and Western Canadian Music awards. Barber released his debut instrumental album, "Molly's Eyes," in July 2023, which was his first solo collection after years of working as a sideman for other artists. His second studio album is scheduled for release in summer 2025. Dave Barber's versatility as a guitarist, his extensive experience as a session musician, and his ability to move seamlessly between country, bluegrass, gospel, and other genres have made him one of BC's most respected and in-demand musicians. His decision to step into the spotlight with solo instrumental work showcases his technical prowess and musical creativity.
