The Vancouver Province aptly dubbed her as "redefining jazz," a reputation she earned during her debut performance at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival in 2010, which also earned her a nomination for a Galaxie Rising Star award and launched her into the limelight. Her performance style seamlessly navigates from gentle to powerful, from deep blues to pop confection within the same song, demonstrating remarkable range and emotional depth. Her latest work "Oh Mother" is a multimedia musical experience rooted in the stories of motherhood, showcasing her evolving creativity and sensitivity as a songwriter and arranger. This album, created during her 2021 artist residency with NVRC, has been nominated for a 2025 JUNO Award for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year. With Robert Glasper, Esperanza Spalding, and Jose James, Superstein is credited with invigorating the vocal jazz song and bringing jazz-influenced music to a younger audience. Her ability to blend traditional jazz sensibilities with contemporary influences has made her a distinctive voice in Canadian music. She has performed at jazz clubs internationally, spanning Japan, China, Europe, and North America, from Tokyo's Cotton Club to London's Jazz Café and Detroit's Cliff Bell's.
