About

Fraser A. Gorman is a Melbourne-based singer-songwriter who was born in Torquay, a suburban outpost of Geelong, Australia. Gorman expresses himself through wry poetry, bent tropicalia, country-soul, and rock. He first registered on the radar in mid-2012 with the release of his self-titled debut EP, and his debut album "Slow Gum" was released in 2015 on Courtney Barnett's label, Milk! Gorman cut his teeth in Geelong fronting a Beatles-inspired original band, Revolver & Sun, alongside King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard's Stu Mackenzie and Cook Craig. Gorman leans more towards a classic Laurel Canyon or Americana sound with a more loping, country flair. In addition to his music career, Gorman also has his own label, Brown Truck Records. His music is characterized by laid-back vocals, vintage-inspired production, and a blend of country, rock, and psychedelic influences. While not Canadian, Fraser A. Gorman has toured extensively in North America and has connections to the Canadian indie music scene through collaborations and shared labels with Canadian artists. His relaxed, retro sound has earned him a following among fans of contemporary indie rock and alternative country. Gorman's songwriting combines introspective lyrics with catchy melodies, creating music that feels both nostalgic and fresh.
