Adam Baldwin is a Canadian indie rock singer-songwriter based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Born on July 30, 1986, Baldwin began his musical journey in 2005 with the alternative country band Gloryhound and the Skyhawks before joining Matt Mays & El Torpedo as a keyboardist and vocalist in 2008. His award-winning self-titled solo debut EP, released in 2013, marked the beginning of a distinguished solo career. Music Nova Scotia recognized his talent in 2014, awarding him Male Artist of the Year and Musician of the Year during Nova Scotia Music Week. Baldwin's music combines thoughtful songwriting with indie rock sensibilities, earning him critical acclaim across Canada's East Coast music scene. His work extends beyond music—the film Little Lorraine, which premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival, saw Baldwin win the Michael Weir Award for best screenwriting alongside director Andy Hines. With his distinctive voice and compelling narratives, Baldwin has established himself as one of Atlantic Canada's most respected indie rock artists.
